11-16-16 CPD Chaplain Graduation


WHEN: Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Unitarian Universalist Church, 3224 Navajo Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37411

WHO: Ten chaplain candidates representing Muslim, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist & non-denominational religions/faiths

WHAT: The volunteer chaplain corps provides spiritual support to victims of violence and trauma in the Chattanooga community. The corps also provides ministry to other community members, CPD officers, employees and their families.

WHY: Faith leaders are integral in building relationships that increase trust between community and law enforcement.

​This graduating group brings the total active chaplains for CPD to 32. ​
