Through the Chattanooga Forward process, a dedicated group has regularly convened to discuss the current state of Chattanooga’s sports and outdoors scene – and, more importantly, to share ideas, research other cities, and investigate what the future of this scene could be. I call it a scene but that’s an understatement.
Chattanooga is defined by our unique natural beauty and our surrounding environment. So much of what we do is reflected in the mountains surrounding us and in the river that, for centuries, has played so many important roles - recreational retreat, economic driver, tourist attraction, sports venue, transportation “infrastructure”.
