In his extensive professional career, Mr. Oglesby has worked as Associate Director of Corporate Engagement for the United Way of Greater Chattanooga responsible for cultivating relations with community and corporate partners to enhance annual giving and providing marketing and technical support to nonprofit agencies throughout the region.

Before United Way, Mr. Oglesby was a Business Services Representative for the
Southeast Tennessee Development District's (SETDD) Tennessee Career Center. There he carried the responsibility for marketing Career Center services to area
businesses and administering training grants to companies in located in
Southeast Tennessee. Alongside other accomplishments, he increased employment
opportunities in the region by working with local governments in workforce and
economic development. Mr. Oglesby also worked as the Regional Disability
Program Navigator advocating for employment opportunities and training for
citizens with disabilities.

Prior to SETDD, Mr. Oglesby worked as Associate Director for the Salvation Army
in Mississippi and Louisiana managing operation centers after hurricanes
Katrina and Rita hit the gulf coast. Mr. Oglesby was responsible for
providing financial assistance, social services community support after the
devastation. He also provided leadership in the allocation of community
development grants to counties and parishes rebuilding after Hurricane
Katrina/Rita.

Mr. Oglesby spent over 10 years working for the YMCA in executive positions in
Durham, NC, Boston, MA, Charlotte, NC and Jackson, MS, where during his
tenure he was responsible for building and renovating facilities as well
program and community development.

He worked for Marriott Management Service has a project manager for targeted renovations for St. Louis University Hospital and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill Medical Center in meeting OSHA and infection control standards. Mr. Oglesby worked at Tennessee State University for 10 years as the Director of the Howard C. Gentry Athletic Complex where he was responsible for the management and coordination of academic, student life, athletic, community events.

Today, Mr. Oglesby is President of the 100 Black Men of Chattanooga, Inc, and the
immediate past President of the Kappa Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, where he was recently awarded 2013 and 2016 Man of the Year for exemplary service to the fraternity. He is currently the 5th District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity's Treasurer for Kentucky and Tennessee where he is responsible for managing the District's annual budget and investments.

Mr. Oglesby also serves on the City of Chattanooga's Pension Board as a Trustee and
on the boards of the WTCI-TV, Creative Discovery Museum, Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy, Tennessee Men's Health Network and the Downtown Kiwanis.

Mr. Oglesby is the past chairman of the board of the Dodson Avenue/Southside Community Health Center while also serving on the Bessie Smith Cultural Center
Board. Mr. Oglesby was the founding chairman of the Bessie Smith Heritage
Festival.

He also serves on the Hamilton County Regional Preventative Health Committee,
Southeast Tennessee Minority Health Consortium and the Tennessee State
University Alumni Association.

Mr. Oglesby is married to Chattanooga native Sheryl Oglesby. They have two children, son Ryan, and daughter Dominique with 3 grandsons. Mr. and Mrs. Oglesby are active members of Resurrected Baptist Church.

He currently serves as chair of the Council's Economic and Community Development Committee.
