10-28-17 Shooting - 600 block W. 14th St. Court


  • Upon arrival, officers located an individual on the scene suffering from a gunshot wound
  • Party shot​ was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries
  • A preliminary investigation has determined that the ​person shot was in the act of committing an ​A​ggravated ​A​ssault with a firearm against another person
  • A third party witnessed the ​Aggravated Assault​, produced a firearm and ​fired a shot​ to stop a threat to life
  • Charges are pending against the person who was shot while committing the Aggravated Assault​
  • At this time no charges have been filed on the third party witness
  • Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating this case. Further information will be released as the investigation progresses.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
