11-26-16 Shooting 30 Hwy 27


At 2:02 Saturday morning officers with the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a local hospital concerning reports of two individuals who arrived suffering from gunshot wounds . The following information was obtained through preliminary investigations:

  • CPD officers located one male & one female subject each suffering from a single gun shot wound
  • Both parties arrived at the hospital via their personal vehicle
  • Both parties injuries are considered nonlife-threatening
  • The parties were struck when their vehicle was shot as it was approaching Hwy 27/24 split
  • The injured parties were not able to provide suspect information as they say they ducked down in the car when they heard gunshots
  • Chattanooga Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau continues to actively investigate this incident.
